Anna M. Sanchez has over 30 years of healthcare experience. She is dually Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Family Nurse Practitioner and works at a civilian hospital.
She deployed at Kunsan Air Base, 8th Fighter Wing as Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Response Program (SAPR). She is a Master Resiliency Trainer (MRT) and educates pre-deployers/post-deployers at the Yellow Ribbon Program.
At Dobbins Air Reserve Base, she serves the Nursing Section as a Reservist at the Aeromedical Staging Squadron. She was a SAPR Victim Advocate and assisted the Director of Psychological Health in the screening of post-deployers. She chaired the Special Observance for the Diversity and Inclusion Program.
She was Officer-in-Charge for the Mental Health Section at Maxwell, Air Force Base, assisted with the Suicide Prevention and Substance Abuse Prevention Programs.
She received her Post-Master’s Certificate/Master in Science in Nursing degree at Georgia State University. She obtained her Bachelor in Science in Nursing at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California.
She pursues her Doctor of Nursing Practice with her capstone project focusing on resiliency of using mindfulness in the reduction of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) of military service members.
